Forensic Technology has been innovating in the field of automated identification of ballistics and documents for several years. The products offered must allow accurate and faithful metrology of the observed characteristics. As part of the development of a new product range, Forensic Technology wants to optimize the vision system consisting of an automated lens and a close-up lens. As part of this project, we will identify the limitations of the current system by quantifying optical aberrations and propose and experimentally validate changes to the optical and optomechanical system.
