Aviatech Services Techniques Inc.

Since natural gas is transported over hundreds of kilometers through pipelines, the probability of leaks is high, making it essential to regularly monitor the condition of the network. Aviatech Services Techniques wanted to include natural gas leak detection in its range of services.

The purpose of this project was therefore to assess the feasibility of airborne detection solutions. Different technologies were evaluated in terms of their sensitivity, resolution, ease of integration on an aircraft, and cost.

At the end of the project, Aviatech was able to make an informed decision regarding the opportunity to equip itself with such a detection system.
