The project aimed to design and implement a hardware and algorithmic architecture for the development of a self-calibration system for projectors projecting onto 3D surfaces that feature an anamorphic viewpoint. This architecture includes the hardware systems (cameras and projectors) as well as the algorithmic strategy and its implementation, in order to digitize the space, evaluate the necessary compensations, and control the projection system. Space and Dream sought to implement a robust, fast, and automated solution to replace the manual calibration currently required. This implementation was carried out on four anamorphic artworks installed at 1800 McGill College Avenue in Montréal.
