Laser Safety Trainings
Lasers are increasingly used in the workplace for a wide range of applications, such as material cutting, surgery, metrology, aesthetics, dermatology, and more.
However, this high-power light technology can cause permanent injuries to users. As a result, Québec companies using lasers have the responsibility to train their employees under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Chapter III, Section II, Article 51.9.
Optech has co-developed a guide on laser prevention and safety. While it does not replace formal training, it can be accessed free of charge below.
All training sessions are conducted entirely online. Recordings are available for students who cannot attend all sessions. Optech can also provide on-site training upon request. Contact us if you are interested!
This 3-hour training is intended for directors, engineers, and health and safety managers, as well as members of the health and safety committee.
It covers the fundamental principles needed to understand the risks and prevent accidents related to the use of lasers in manufacturing environments.
Directors, maintenance or procurement managers, engineers responsible for machine safety, members of the health and safety committee, and anyone else in charge of a machine safety project.
